چکیده

Wheat straw is a suitable source material for bioethanol production. Removing lignin and hemicellulose in wheat to improve enzymatic hydrolysis efficiency essential because of its complex structure. Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have become substitutes ionic liquids (ILs), with the characteristics good biocompatibility, simple synthesis procedure low cost. However, process removing using present DESs requires high operation temperature or long time. Therefore, we studied novel method under mild conditions screening series based on an inorganic base remove straw. In this work, effect DES type, pH DESs, time enhancing hydrolysis, crystal structure chemical surface morphology were investigated. particular, Na:EG exhibited most excellent solubility conditions, 80.6% 78.5% hemicellulose, while reserving 87.4% cellulose at 90 °C 5 h, resulting 81.6% reducing sugar produced during 72 h. Furthermore, XRD, FT-IR SEM analysis verified removal. Hence, used will enhance thus promote industrial application produce bioethanol.

Alkali pretreated of wheat straw and its enzymatic hydrolysis

The efficiency of enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose can be improved by various pretreatments of the substrate. In order to increase the efficiency of enzymatic saccharification of the wheat straw, we determined the effect of different pretreatments on the physical structure, chemical components and enzymatic saccharification of wheat straw. Our results showed that combination of grinding and so...

Improvement of Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Steam-exploded Wheat Straw by Simultaneous Glucose and Xylose Liberation

Lignocellulosic biomass, for its large quantities and relatively low cost, is regarded as a potential renewable energy resource for cost-effective ethanol production.1 Wheat straw is one of the most abundant crop residues in European countries with a production of 170 million tonnes per year, and it seems to be one of the cheapest and the most useful raw material for ethanol production.2 Wheat ...

Optimization of Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Wheat Straw Pretreated by Alkaline Peroxide Using Response Surface Methodology

To optimize the enzymatic conversion of widely available lignocellulosic biomass-wheat straw (WS), pretreatment facilitating the enzymatic saccharification process was first performed by alkaline peroxide, resulting in a substrate consisting of 60.17% cellulose, 29.53% hemicelluloses, and 4.59% lignin. Using response surface methodology, the combined effects of enzyme loading, substrate concent...

An enzymatic hydrolysis approach for characterizing labile phosphorus forms in dairy manure under mild assay conditions.

Characterizing labile P forms in animal manure is a challenge due to their susceptibility to hydrolysis. In this study, we enzymatically characterized P forms in dairy manure (no bedding), collected from a representative dairy farm in New York, by separating into soluble and residual components under mild assay conditions using water and sodium acetate buffer (pH 5.0). About 75% of total manure...

Comparison of mechanistic models in the initial rate enzymatic hydrolysis of AFEX-treated wheat straw

BACKGROUND Different mechanistic models have been used in the literature to describe the enzymatic hydrolysis of pretreated biomass. Although these different models have been applied to different substrates, most of these mechanistic models fit into two- and three-parameter mechanistic models. The purpose of this study is to compare the models and determine the activation energy and the enthalp...
